What to look for on Wednesday – Ag Days 2025

Manitoba Ag Days is Canada’s largest indoor farm show and the board and management team is excited to welcome guests to the Keystone Center in Brandon, MB. Kristen Phillips, Manitoba Ag Days General Manager said, “The show highlights the best of all things agriculture! We are ready to welcome our guests each day to our dominant trade show, our exciting complementary speaker program, innovative thinking in our Innovation Showcase entries and an atmosphere second to none.  If it has anything to do with Agriculture you will find it at our show!”

Bryan Prystupa from FCC AgExpert starts the program in the FCC Theatre on Wednesday, January 22nd at 9:30AM as part of the morning that is Diggin’ Into Agronomy. He is followed by Justine Cornelsen who asks Did Verticillium Knock You Down in 2024?. Brian Hefty, agronomist, farmer and thought leader with AgPhD will challenge the audience to address the agronomic factors that are within their control in his session titled Pushing the Limits: More Bushels per Acre. In the afternoon the Manitoba Crop Alliance Program begins at 1:00pm with Mike Jubinville talking about trade and wraps up at 3:30pm with a session outlining research conducted at NDSU about various farming practices and their long term impacts.

On Wednesday morning the MNP Theatre program begins at 9:30am with two sessions about drones in agriculture. Markus Weber will provide an overview of drone application workflow and Dr. Tom Wolf will review Canadian performance testing data related to the efficacy of drone spraying. In the afternoon the MNP Theatre will feature our Produced on the Prairies theme, where the audience will hear the real stories of local farmers and entrepreneurs. The afternoon wraps up with a team discussing the partnership between EMILI and Rutherford Farms entitled Testing Ag Tech on a Commercial Farm.

The Innovation Showcase judging will be complete and the winners will be announced at 10:00am!  There are 34 contenders in seven categories, including Agronomics, Animal & Livestock, Agriculture Equipment, Agribusiness Services, Ag Tech, Farm Safety and Farm Built Solutions, sponsored by the 7 publications of Glacier FarmMedia. We encourage you to look for the green Innovation lightbulb signs and to consider how these new ideas might positively impact your operation.
