Opening Day Preview – What to Look For on Day One

January 14, 2024

Manitoba Ag Days is ready to welcome you on Tuesday, January 16th. “The Keystone Centre is filled with
over 550 exhibitors and the speaker program is fantastic. You will not want to miss the Innovation
Showcase contenders. You’ll want to attend all three days and we’re ready to welcome you to the show
where the ag year begins!” said Brad Crammond, Manitoba Ag Days Board Co-Chair.

Opening day is packed with incredible opportunities to network, learn and do business!

Don’t miss the Kickoff Breakfast, which takes place in the Provincial Exhibition Dome Building from
7:00am-8:45am on Tuesday, January 16th and is presented by Heritage Co-Op. Admission is by donation
and all proceeds from the kickoff breakfast will go to Ag in the Classroom – Manitoba.

The Manitoba Canola Growers Association program runs in the FCC Theatre on Tuesday morning and
begins at 9:30am with Chris Manchur and Manitoba’s Most Wanted. At 10:15am Dr. Amy Delaquis and
Chris Holzapfel discuss canola seeding and at 11:20am Dave Carey talks about how to use Your Farm
Voice in Ottawa. The afternoon program focuses on Marketing with a Different Lense and features
David Frum at 1:45pm for a session titled Geopolitics in Uncertain Times. The afternoon also includes
sessions about removing emotion from marketing by Keith Brownell at 1:00pm and grain markets for
today and tomorrow by Gerhard Greyling and Edward Brochinski at 3:20pm.

The MNP Theatre also has a full day scheduled, beginning with another year of Crop Talk at 9:15am. Dr.
Breanne Tidemann follows at 10:45am with her session entitled Start Strong to Stay Out of the Weeds
and Anita Renwick wraps up the morning as she discusses reducing your fertilizer footprint. At 12:30pm
the afternoon program begins with Ag Days Gives Back presenting seventeen $2000 grants and
agriculture education is being supported through three, $2000 post-secondary scholarships and a
$10,000 grant to Ag in the Classroom – Manitoba. We have youth speakers at 1:00pm and dignitaries
bringing greetings, beginning at 1:15PM. You will not want to leave early, because Graham Sherman,
Prairie innovator and entrepreneur, takes the stage at 3:00PM with the story of how he brought The Tool
Shed Brewing Company from dream to reality.

The exhibitors are also ready to welcome you to their booths and to talk business. Ag Days is your
opportunity to get up close to the equipment and technology that you want to see, all in one location.
Exhibitors are ready to showcase their products and services and to answer any questions that you have.
You will find a great mix of products and services at this years’ show; big equipment, the bull congress,
biologicals and workshop organizers are all under one roof! Be sure to allow yourself time to explore the
entire show. A full alphabetical listing of exhibitors can be found at www.agdays.com/exhibitor-links/
We look forward to welcoming you to the show!
