Manitoba Ag Days is looking to help your Community Project or support your post-secondary Education!

Calling all community projects, big or small and Brandon Assiniboine Community College Agriculture Diploma students!  The Manitoba Ag Days “Ag Days Gives Back” deadline is approaching on November 15,2018.  Manitoba Ag Days awards up to $27,000 annually to community projects and educational scholarship in Manitoba. Recipients will be announced at the three-day annual event taking place at Brandon’s Keystone Centre January 22,23,24.

 “The growth and development of small communities is essential for our industry and as a not for profit organization we take great pride in being able to share some of the shows successes with the communities where our exhibitors and patrons call home.” Stated Brad Crammond, Manitoba Ag Days board chair. 

Over the past 12 years Manitoba Ag Days has given back approximately $281,000 to several organization and individuals. Last years recipients are as follows: 

Community Improvement Local Community Infrastructure Upgrades & Improvements
Edwards Sports Centre $3000     Heartland Recreation Commission $2000

Agriculture and Heritage
Manitoba Association of Agricultural Societies $5000

Community Improvement – Safety & Emergency Services
CASA – The Grain Safety Program $5000

Education and Leadership – Agricultural Youth Education
Agriculture in the Classroom -Manitoba $8000

ACC Diploma Scholarship – Braiden Setter-Shwaluk $1000

U of M’s Diploma Scholarship – Renate Jochum $1000

U of M’s Degree Scholarship – Kate Green $1000

“Small communities are the back bone to our industry. The board feels very strongly about helping create sustainable rural communities through awarding grants that focus on infrastructure upgrades/ improvements, safety and emergency services, agriculture and heritage preservation, as well as agriculture education.”. stated Kristen Phillips, General Manager
