Opening Day Preview – What to Look For on Day One

Manitoba Ag Days is ready to welcome you on Tuesday, January 21st. “The Keystone Centre is filled with
over 550 exhibitors and the speaker program is fantastic. We are showing off our prairie products
throughout the show.” said Michael Cousins, Manitoba Ag Days Board Co-Chair. “You’ll want to attend all
three days because this is where the ag year begins!”

Opening day is packed with incredible opportunities to network, learn and do business!

Don’t miss the Kickoff Breakfast, which takes place in the Provincial Exhibition Dome Building from
7:30am-8:45am on Tuesday, January 21st and is presented by Heritage Co-Op. Admission is by donation
and all proceeds from the kickoff breakfast will go to Ag in the Classroom – Manitoba.

The Manitoba Canola Growers Association program runs in the FCC Theatre on Tuesday morning and
begins at 9:30am with Tyler Wist’s session entitled Canola Under Siege, followed by a panel discussion
on canola variety selection. The morning wraps up with David Mielke from Oil World beginning at
11:15am. The afternoon program focuses on Pillars of Production begins at 1:00pm with a crop talk
panel before our featured speaker, Graeme Crosbie, with an Economic Outlook: Risks and Opportunities
for Canadian Agriculture in 2025 at 2:30pm. The afternoon wraps up with a session focused on fertilizer
management practices.

The MNP Theatre also has a full day scheduled and the morning is entitled Let’s Talk Politics. This block
begins at 9:30am with a panel discussion moderated by Jay Whetter and entitled Are You Missing Out on
the Carbon Revolution?. Next up are two 4-H youth speakers, followed by the dignitaries’ addresses. At
1:00pm the focus shifts to Prairie Approach and sessions address managing extremes, navigating
transitions and water quality and its impact on spraying. The afternoon winds down with A Bearded
Perspective, delivered by Quick Dick McDick, beginning at 3:30pm.

The exhibitors are also ready to welcome you to their booths and to talk business. Ag Days is your
opportunity to get up close to the equipment and technology that you want to see, all in one location.
Exhibitors are ready to showcase their products and services and to answer any questions that you have.
You will find a great mix of products and services at this years’ show from big equipment to shop tools
and from the best bull genetics to the newest biologicals, it’s all under one roof! Be sure to allow yourself
