Premier Wab Kinew is the 25th premier of Manitoba. Kinew was first elected as the MLA for Fort Rouge in 2016 and was elected party leader and leader of the official opposition in 2017. He is the son of Dr. Tobasonakwut Kinew and Dr. Kathi Kinew and is from the Onigaming First Nation in northwestern Ontario. Before becoming an MLA, Kinew worked as a broadcaster and as an administrator at the University of Winnipeg. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Manitoba and a master’s degree in Indigenous governance. Kinew is an honorary witness of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and a bestselling author. He is a caring dad to three boys and a devoted husband to his wife Lisa, who is a doctor.

Nia is a grade 10 student at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School, and lives on a small family farm near Brandon. She is a 3rd generation 4-Her and has been in 4-H for 10 years. Nia has been a member of several 4-H clubs including Poultry, Equine and Multi-purpose clubs. In her spare time she likes to go backcountry camping, ride her horses, and water ski. She plans on pursuing a career in agriculture.

Emily Clark is a dedicated and accomplished high school student currently enrolled in grade 12 at Neelin High School in Brandon, Manitoba. With a strong work ethic and passion for learning, Emily has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to extracurricular activities. Outside of the classroom, Emily is an active and dedicated senior member of the 4-H organization. Through 4-H, Emily has developed valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, and community service, while also pursuing interests in sewing, baking and cooking. Throughout Emily’s high school career, she has demonstrated a strong sense of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to personal growth. With a bright future ahead, Emily is well-equipped to take on new challenges and make a positive impact in the community.

Devron grew up on a farm near Inglis, Manitoba. He has completed an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies (Forest Conservation) from Lakehead University, and also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from Brandon, University. He has been working with Continuum Carbon Services for just over 3 years, as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Continuum Carbon Services is a voluntary carbon credit project developer based in St. Paul, Minnesota and operating out of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Continuum develops nature based offsets in regenerative agriculture and forestry.

Chris farms with his Dad, Brother, and their families near Manitou, MB. They run a mixed grain and cattle operation. They have spent the last 5 years trying to integrate the cattle onto the crop land to find synergies and reduce input costs for both crops and cattle.

Somewhat retired Pedigreed Seed Grower from Wawanesa. Member of the Ellis Seeds team that manages the farming and seed businesses. Director of the Manitoba Canola Growers Association. I love the smell of good soil and the early morning sun when it pierces the dark.
