Patti Durand, based in Humboldt, SK, is a Strategic Action Planner, Speaker and Author at Brightrack Consulting, bringing skills honed in agricultural and small business advising within finance and the private sector. Born and raised in Teulon, MB Patti holds a BSc – Agriculture @ University of Manitoba and is a certified Family Enterprise Advisor and Professional Agrologist. In her 25+ year career, Patti has guided hundreds of Canadian farm business families to confidently navigate the paths of transition decision making. As a dynamic speaker, Patti aims to provide relatable, actionable ideas to help business families move ahead, together and with certainty. Her positivity, practical experience and strategic brain means Patti can help “move a lot of dirt” quickly toward impactful results to achieve farm business goals.

Tom Wolf is a spray application specialist, based in Saskatoon. He grew up on a farm in Manitoba and studied agriculture at the University of Manitoba and the Ohio State University. Tom has over 36 years research experience in spray technology, including work on spray drift, coverage, efficacy, and sprayer cleanout. With Jason Deveau, Tom hosts and writes for the world’s number one sprayer website, Sprayers101.com. He is a past president and Fellow of the Canadian Weed Science Society and has been named Distinguished Agrologist with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrology.

Markus Weber has a diverse background as a farmer, lawyer, and senior public service manager. He co-founded LandView Drones in 2015 and develops the curriculum for LandView’s team of professional instructors. Through Ag Drone Schools and Drone Spraying Clinics, LandView enables farmers, ranchers and agronomists to get full avlue from their drones in the field. His focus today will be on the positive aspects of unmanned aerial product application.

Brian Hefty is a farmer and agronomist from Baltic, South Dakota. He is also the CEO of Hefty Seed Company, the 8th largest seed and crop protection retailer in the U.S. Since 1998 he and his brother Darren have co-hosted Ag PhD TV, the most-watched agronomy television show in the U.S. The brothers also host the daily Ag PhD Radio Show. Brian is an author, a father of 3, a Christian, and a long-suffering Minnesota Vikings football fan.

Justine Cornelsen, Agronomic & Regulatory Services Manager, BrettYoung Seeds Justine Cornelsen is the Agronomic and Regulatory Services Manager with BrettYoung Seeds. She carries over 10 years of agricultural and environmental experience from previous positions with the Canola Council of Canada, Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, and Parks Canada. Justine graduated in 2014 from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2021 she completed her Master of Science degree at the University of Manitoba. She is a plant disease enthusiast! And when she’s not out scouting fields, you can likely find her on the back of a horse.

Bryan is a Senior Product Owner with the FCC AgExpert team, who has collaborated with partners and companies across Canada to develop integrations that help producers use digitized farm data through MyFarmConnect. Bryan’s new role includes helping Canadian farmers grow their on-farm sustainability knowledge. He’s passionate about helping advance Canadian agriculture and food through technology solutions.
