Brian Perillat has over 20 years of experience in the field of agricultural economics and market analysis. In 2022, Brian started a new role as Agribusiness Specialist at More Than Just Feed. He supports the Bullseye team and their customers by offering management tools and information by sharing resources, market analysis, and risk management expertise. Prior to this, Brian was the Manager at Canfax for 12 years. Brian also previously worked with MNP as a farm management consultant and with Alberta Agriculture completing industry economic analysis and compiling benchmarks for cattle producers. Brian grew up on a mixed farming operation near Duck Lake Saskatchewan and continues to be very involved with the family farm.

Patsy is a Partner and Business Advisor with MNP’s Assurance and Accounting group in Brandon, Neepawa, and Minnedosa. She is the Regional Agriculture Risk Management Resources (ARMR) leader for Southern Manitoba and a member of MNP’s national ARMR team. Patsy helps clients in the agriculture and commercial sectors with all aspects of their operations so they can achieve continued success. Drawing on more than 21 years of experience, Patsy prepares and reviews financial statements, consults on business operations and profitability, and helps with the sale of businesses, tax planning, and compliance and estate planning. She is very involved with her clients, allowing her to meet their day-to-day advisory needs as well as their annual assurance requirements. Patsy also advises her clients on a wide range of risk management strategies, helping them manage risk more effectively. Patsy earned a Diploma in Accounting from Palliser Business Institute in 1997. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 2004.

Kristjan Hebert Bio Kristjan Hebert is the President and CEO of The Hebert Group and Managing Partner of Hebert Grain Ventures (HGV), a 40,000 acre grain and oilseed operation in southeast Saskatchewan, Canada. He is also the co-founder of Maverick Ag Consulting which provides custom-designed lending, accounting and insurance solutions to producers and Farmer Coach, a business management coaching program for farmers. He is also the host of the popular podcast, The Truth About Ag. Hebert obtained his CPA with Meyers Norris Penny, a large accounting firm in Canada, before returning to the family farm in 2008. Hebert received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Prairies in 2022 and was recognized internationally as a Global Climate Positive Leader by Corteva Agriscience in 2021 and received the Top Producer Award in 2020. He is also a lifetime member of the Global Farmer Network.

Jacob Shapiro is an adviser and researcher covering geopolitics, economics, and markets. He is Head of Geopolitics and Macro Research at Bespoke, a multi-family office serving entrepreneurs and families worldwide. He is also a partner at Cognitive Investments, which targets opportunities at the intersection of geopolitical change and technological innovation. Jacob hosts “The Jacob Shapiro Podcast”, which features interviews with subject matter experts in geopolitics, technology, agriculture, and other fields. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and 2 daughters. When he’s not tweeting at 4 a.m. about the latest international developments or commodities prices, you might find him doing his best Larry Bird impersonation at a pickup basketball game.

Rick Rutherford is a dedicated seed farmer based in Grosse Isle, Manitoba, where he farms roughly 5500 acres of diverse crops. Emily Laudin is a passionate young woman making her mark in the agriculture industry. With a strong commitment to sustainable farming practices, she works as a sales agronomist at Rutherford seed farm, where she sells a variety of high-quality cereal and oilseeds to local farmers. Emily thrives in the field, operating equipment, showcasing her dedication to hands-on agricultural work. With a blend of ambition and a love for the land, Emily is shaping the future of agriculture, one seed at a time.
