John has serves as the soil fertility extension specialist for Manitoba Agriculture and previously with Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food in extension and field crop research He was schooled in the east and corn belt but trained by MB farmers the past 25 years. Currently John is Chair of the MB Soil Fertility Advisory Committee. John is a Certified Crop Advisor and was recognized as International CCA of the Year in 2014. John’s odd obsession is hunting the officially designated state and provincial soils – of which he has captured 41 states and 8 provinces.

Krista Anderson has been specializing in seed treatment research since she joined Bayer CropScience in 2004 to manage their Canadian seed treatment research facility. She has been involved in the development of new products across the entire seed treatment portfolio but has more recently taken on full responsibility for the canola, cereals, and pulse seed treatment research portfolios. She completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the University of Saskatchewan, and worked with AAFC prior to joining Bayer.
Angela Brackenreed has been an Agronomy Specialist with the Canola Council of Canada since 2012. She farms in Justice with her parents and young family.
Patsy Hewitt, CPA, CMA, is a Partner and Business Advisor with MNP’s Assurance and Accounting team. Working out of the Brandon office, Patsy helps clients in the agriculture and commercial sectors with all aspects of their operations so they can achieve continued success. Patsy prepares and reviews financial statements, consults on business operations and profitability and helps with the sale of businesses, tax planning and compliance and estate planning. She is very involved with clients, allowing her to meet their day-today advisory needs as well as their annual assurance requirements.

Dane Froese is the Industry Development Specialist – Oilseeds for Manitoba Agriculture. Dane is an experienced agronomist with a demonstrated history of working in primary crop production. He is skilled in agronomy, business planning and priority research management.
